His Holiness Bhakti Balabh Puri Goswami, an ISKCON sannyasi (renunciant), and guru, has, by official Governing Body Commission (GBC) decree, had his status as a sannyasi and a guru removed in early September 2007.

Now to be known in ISKCON circles only as Balabhadra Dasa, he was based for several years in Lesmahagow, a small village near Glasgow, Scotland. Due to ongoing indiscretion with female disciples and funds his ability to continue in a spiritual or organizational leadership capacity has been evaluated as unsuitable to operate under the official approval of the ISKCON Governing Body Commission.
